This major feature special report in The Australian Financial Review features NSW Circular’s fantastic Chief Circular Economist Dr Kar Mei Tang, highlighting the economic opportunity that a circular economy brings alongside the environmental benefits associated with the transition.

Chief Circular Economist, NSW Circular, Kar Mei Tang says that the circular economy came about not simply as a response to environmental concerns. “It’s an attempt to increase economic efficiency of business processes.”

With Greater Sydney due to run out of landfill space in 15 years and with no new landfills being planned, it’s time “to think about better ways and more sustainable ways of going towards renewable materials and renewable processes”.
