A GHD and Jacobs joint venture will lead the design for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) project for Sydney Water as part of the winning consortium with John Holland Group and Trility.

This major project will provide wastewater services for the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and Southwest Growth Area – creating a landmark bioresource hub for the people of Western Sydney and a global benchmark in circular economy ecosystems.

The new plant and associated delivery pipelines will initially treat up to 35ML and ultimately 70 ML of wastewater per day producing purified recycled water and include onsite energy recovery and a solar farm to provide renewable energy.
