Expressions of Interest are open for an exciting circular economy opportunity

Sydney Water has released an Expression of Interest (EOI) seeking proposals to develop and lease 12 hectares of land in Kemps Creek known as the Circular Economy Zone (CEZ).

About the CEZ
The CEZ will bring to life Sydney Water’s vision of an eco-industrial park that activates the circular economy in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis and play a vital role in ensuring it becomes a resilient and sustainable city where people want to live, work and visit.

The site sits adjacent to the Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC), next to the M12 motorway, and five kilometres from the Western Sydney International Airport.

The opportunity
This is a flagship site presenting a unique range of opportunities that may include:

  • driving change in waste management,
  • potentially harnessing wastewater recycling and integrated water management with
    the AWRC,
  • undertaking renewable energy production, and
  • producing a host of circular economic products and services.

The opportunity is ideal for either individual proponents, joint ventures or partnerships involving waste specialists, property funds, developers, technology firms, and financiers seeking long-term investment and sustainability projects.

Activating the circular economy
Sydney Water is looking for suitably aligned industries to bring best practice, innovative thinking and a collaborative approach to deliver this project.
