NSW Circular Director talks plastic innovation on ABC TV News

Oct 3, 2019

ABC TV News talks to UNSW Professor Veena Sahajwalla, Director of NSW Circular, about the impacts of Indonesia now banning plastic rubbish being sent from Australia and how we need to think about circular economy solutions where unwanted materials and so-called waste can be reformed for new use and boost manufacturing.

She discussed the role of manufacturing in helping to solve many waste problems and using waste materials to establish new supply chains so we can make products domestically rather than having to import those products and then export the rubbish.
